Motivated & passionate instructors are one of the keys to running a successful & profitable martial arts school.

An abundance of quality instructors will free up your time to work on your business, reduce the number of classes you need to teach, and even (dare I say it) take a holiday.

But, damn, instructors can be a MAJOR pain in the ass if you don’t consistently train and monitor them. If you’ve been running a school for any length of time, you’ll know exactly what I mean.
Unfortunately, all instructors get bored teaching the same material over and over. When that happens, they’ll start teaching whatever they feel like, or their classes will get stale and repetitive.

If either of these things happens, your students will stop enjoying the training and, rather than tell you, they’ll stop showing up.

Left long enough your business will come under threat, and you’ll have to step in to fix the problems.

I should know this happened to me when I was running my full time school of 400 members. I took my eye off the ball and essentially left my instructors to it.

This mistake cost me 77 students over 6 months. Doh!!!

Since then, I’ve been a massive believer that staff training should be a priority for every school owner.

No Time To Train Your Staff?

I know how busy you are. You want to give your staff the best training possible, but the day to day hassles of running the business get in the way. 

I get it, I’ve been there and I want to help.

 

I've created a One Day Intensive Instructor Training Programme to help school owners give their staff quality training, but without it taking any of your valuable time or energy.

How It Works

Follow these four simple steps to get your staff Mittmaster certified

  • Select the certification you want your staff to complete. You can choose from Kickboxing, MMA or Filipino Boxing

  • Book a date and I will come to your school and teach your staff the required material

  • Your candidates will also get online access to the certification so they can continue to practice

  • After 6-8 weeks I will come back to your school to assess your instructors and award them their certification (if they are competent)

The Sad Truth

Now, you could, of course teach your instructor group the same drills I’m going to show them, but it won’t have the same effect. That’s purely because

 

“Familiarity Breeds Contempt”.

 

We all take for granted what we can see and use every day. Its human nature. 

I know my students and staff took me for granted. In my experience, it’s the same in most martial arts schools.


 So, what can you do? 

I believe inviting guest instructors to teach at your school focuses everyone, and creates a buzz. After all, everyone craves new and exciting experiences.

That’s where I and my team come in.

We are going to teach your instructors the core Mittmaster System, but I can also reinforce any particular messages you want your staff to observe. 

For example, if time keeping is an issue I can continually prompt them to remember the importance of time keeping and how it reflects on them as an instructor.
